Samaritan Ministries of Greater Washington is a community partnership bringing together homeless people and others in need in Greater Washington. They develop participants’ abilities to help themselves to better lives. They provide employment and social services, occasional emergency assistance (help with food, rent, utilities, transportation), and HIV/AIDS services. Their NEXT STEP programs targets homeless and other low-income people in need and helps them set and achieve goals by breaking them down into small, manageable steps and tracking progress.
